Founder and Managing Partner at SMM Legal. Associate Professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He has experience as an independent member of Supervisory Boards. He has repeatedly received individual recognition in the international legal ranking The Legal 500. He specialises in commercial company law and capital market law.

He manages the team responsible for the merger of PKN Orlen S.A. and Grupa LOTOS S.A. He actively participated in the works connected with obtaining the European Commission’s consent for this concentration.

He also coordinates the representation of clients in the most serious court cases. He works with private enterprises and state-owned companies. He advises on projects relating to the European Regional Fund. He has been repeatedly appointed as an independent advisor to Polish ministers in the area of corporate governance and participation of the State Treasury in companies of strategic importance since 2014.

His scientific output includes over 70 publications in renowned national and international publications. He is the co-author of, among other things, legal commentaries to the Commercial Companies Code, the Civil Code, the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the Act on the Control of Certain Investments and the main capital market acts.

In 2006 and 2008-2013, he was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at PKN Orlen S.A. Since 2008, he has acted as Secretary and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Firma Oponiarska Dębica S.A.
