Profile

Mr. Dybowski graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and from the Faculty of Philosophy of Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Having earned his PhD in law, he was employed as an associate professor at the Chair of Theory and Philosophy of Law of Adam Mickiewicz University, where he has worked ever since.

 

Experience

He has served on the Management Board of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights in Vienna (2007-2012) as a counsellor, and subsequently as a plenipotentiary to the Commissioner of Human Rights (2006-2010). He has also served as a secretary of the editorial board at the ‘Ius et Lex’ journal.

In 2002-2003, he was awarded a scholarship by the Stefan Batory Foundation, and in 2008 a scholarship of the Polish Science Foundation. In 2009 he received a scholarship and fellowship from Hull University in the UK.

Mr. Dybowski has written a book entitled ‘Prawa fundamentalne  w orzecznictwie ETS’ (‘Fundamental rights in ECJ case law’, published by C.H. Beck in 2007), and has authored various articles, reviews and academic translations in the field of legal theory and philosophy and individuals’ rights.
