Anna Mathews. Associate.
Ms. Mathews graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
She was awarded a scholarship by the Lesław A. Paga Foundation as a part of the Foundation’s Academy of Energy project, and completed a specialist post-graduate programme at the University of Technology. A winner of the “Future with Energy, Energy with Future” competition organised by the Polish Committee for Electricity, she was also awarded Rector’s scholarship for the best students. As an active member of student organisations (including ELSA Poznań), she organised conferences on Energy law and the first “Law with Energy” National Energy Law Competition.
Ms. Mathews is interested in energy law and EU law. She began building her professional experience while still at university, working with a law firm specialising in advisory in the energy sector. What is more, she has worked in the legal department of a company of strategic importance to the energy security of the state.
An author of numerous publications on REMIT Regulation, she wrote her MA thesis on the legal and financial aspects of the trans-European power grid extension, and now is working on her PhD dissertation on EU and energy law, under the supervision of Prof. Maciej Mataczyński.
