JAROSŁAW BEŁDOWSKI IN PULS BIZNESU ON POLAND’S LEAP IN THE WORLD BANK’S ‘DOING BUSINESS’ LIST

Yesterday’s Puls Biznesu (28/10/2015) ran an article entitled ‘Business prospects on the Vistula improve again’, summarizing the historic leap of Poland’s economy to the 25th position on the World Bank’s prestigious Doing Business list.

Mr. Jarosław Bełdowski, partner at SMM Legal, once again provided his expertise to the World Bank in their preparation of the list. In his article, he commented on Poland’s results and emphasized his ongoing support for the government’s implementation of changes aimed at facilitating and streamlining business operations in Poland. When commenting on the list’s results, Mr. Bełdowski stressed Poland’s spectacular success, but warned that “…the world is very competitive, and this position will be hard to defend next year”. In his opinion, the period of uncomplicated reform has ended and a realistic outlook must now take into account those areas where we still lag behind the leaders – such as tax regulations, and incorporation of private limited companies
