The 27th Economic Forum in Krynica, the biggest conference in Central and Eastern Europe on the current political, economic and social developments in the world, attended by more than 4,000 participants, is currently underway. On this occasion, we recommend an interview with Mr. Daniel Obajtek, CEO of PKN Orlen, summarising the developments in the European Union prenotification process.
The leading firm advising PKN Orlen on the legal aspects of this transaction is SMM Legal, whose dedicated task team is managed by Prof. Maciej Mataczyński, Managing Partner at our Firm. On 14 August PKN Orlen submitted to the Commission the first package of concentration-related analyses and documents developed with the participation of SMM Legal. Currently the package is being discussed with the Commission. The decision is expected to be issued in the middle of the next year.
