Mr. Rycerski holds a PhD in law and is an academic teacher. Professionally and academically he has been focusing on financial markets law. He is a Certified Alternative Trading System Advisor (Certificate 18/2015).

At SMM Legal, he has been advising clients on the implementation and application of MAR, MiFIR, EMIR and MiFID II rules, as well as supervisory guidelines on brokerage activity, suitability assessment applicable to the members of corporate authorities of supervised institutions, and BION. Mr. Rycerski has handled complex legal problems in the area of payment services, banking law and AML. Additionally, he has been advising in disputes regarding participation in investment funds. On top of this, he is interested in the legal aspects of trade in crypto currencies.

He holds a doctoral degree awarded by the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań for his dissertation entitled “The reasonable investor test in EU capital market law”. An author of academic publications, he has presented papers at academic conferences.

He has been working with SMM Legal since 2015.
