Wojciech is a highly qualified expert with extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in the field of compliance, financial sector regulation, and the activities of the financial regulator. In his day-to-day job, he provides targeted and effective assistance to Poland's leading banks, investment companies, and payment institutions. His area of expertise covers banking law (private and public), capital law, insurance law, supervisory policy, and corporate governance in regulated entities. He has broad experience in developing effective compliance systems in financial institutions.
He started his professional activity at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), where he worked for over 3.5 years in the Banking Supervision Division. During the period of his professional involvement in banking supervision, he was engaged in the preparation of the implementation of CRD IV/CRR (Basel III), EMIR and BRRD in Poland. He was also the chief lawyer at Dom Maklerski TMS Brokers S.A., a member of the management board of a brokerage house in Malta, and an advisor to a newly founded European bank.
He is an author of several dozen publications, an editor and co-author of books including Counteracting Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. A Practical Guide (Wolters Kluwer 2018), and Counteracting Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism. A Commentary (Wolters Kluwer 2019).
He is a recognised speaker, a trainer in the fields of banking, insurance and anti-money laundering regulations, and a lecturer at the Postgraduate Programme in Credit Risk Management at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the School of New Technologies Law organised by the H. Grotius Intellectual Property Centre.
He is also an Approved Compliance Officer (ACO) certified by the Institute of Compliance and the Viadrina Compliance Centre (2019).
Wojciech is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (2011), and Postgraduate Studies in Management and Finance at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics (2013).
