We are pleased to announce that Joanna Łabudzka, legal advisor and partner at SMM Legal, managing our Firm’s Telecommunications Practice, a Board Advisor on Regulatory Matters to Netia S.A., has become a member of the Board of the ECTA (European Competitive Telecommunications Association), a leading organisation supporting competition in the telecommunications sector. Her two-year term on the ECTA Board will commence on 1 January 2017.
The official press release from NETIA S.A. quotes Ms. Łabudzka’s comment on the matter: “The telecommunications sector is facing a perspective of radical changes to the regulatory environment developed by the European Commission as part of the European Electronic Communications Code. For Polish operators, this is a pivotal moment that requires our presence in Brussels and active involvement in the work and consultations at the European level. These efforts will culminate in a new regulatory regime that will define the operators’ working environment for a long time. I am proud to have been elected to the ECTA Board and to have the possibility to represent the interests of Polish alternative operators in the EU in this crucial period.” ( http://media.netia.pl/pr/335988/netia-z-nowa-reprezentantka-w-zarzadzie-ecta )
Established in 1998, the ECTA associates businesses and industry organizations from the European telecommunications sector. It represents the innovative communications technology sector before European regulatory authorities, and serves as a platform for the exchange of experiences between its members.
We congratulate Ms. Łubudzka and wish her successful work!
