Profile
Founder of SMM Legal. As a Managing Partner, Mr Maciak manages the Litigation and Mediation Department, being also responsible for our business and marketing strategy. He has over 20 years of experience as an advocate. Mr Maciak was distinguished many times in the international rank The Legal 500.
Experience
He provides advice in crisis situations threatening clients’ strategic interests. He also coordinates clients’ representation in the most serious court cases. His courtroom experience includes dozens of court disputes where the amount in litigation was more than several million zloty.
Throughout his career he has represented claimants in actions brought against pharmaceutical companies. His competence also includes comprehensive advice on the resolution of the so-called FX options issue and negotiations with banks. Mr Maciak has personally advised dozens of large joint-stock companies in their negotiations with bank directors. He has effectively restructured and implemented our clients’ remedial strategies.
He has participated in Polish entrepreneurs’ business missions to emerging markets (Brazil in 2009, India in 2010, China in 2011, and South Korea in 2012).
