The Client

Coventry University is a British university with almost two hundred years of history. It is one of the best 100 universities in Europe with regard to education quality and conditions. In the category of relations with students, it is one of the best three in Europe. In autumn 2020, the University opened its campus in Wrocław and launched its studies in Poland, following the British system.

The challenge

The Client gave us two assignments. The first one was to conduct the registration of the first branch of a British university in Poland. The second assignment was to obtain a permit to enroll students from outside the European Union. In both cases, the difficulty was in the unprecedented nature of both procedures.

The Result

Obtaining the approval of the Minister of Science and Higher Education to register a branch of the Coventry University in Poland – the first branch of a foreign university in Poland in 20 years.

Registration of the University branch in the National Court Register.

Developing internal labour law regulations and adjusting the manner of operation of an English university to the Polish Labour Code.

Conducting a health and safety audit, consulting with regard to occupational medicine.

Providing support in negotiations with the lessor of the educational facilities in Wrocław.

Obtaining a permit to enroll students from outside the European Union thanks to adjusting the Polish procedure to a branch of a foreign university.
