An expert in national and EU economic law. She specialises in the area of competition law, mergers and acquisitions and public procurement law. She was twice recommended in The Legal 500 (Legalease) EMEA 2021 and 2022, in the categories of Commercial Corporate M&A and Capital Markets.


Ms. Cisowska has coordinated SMM Legal teams across all stages of precedent-setting concentration control procedures before the European Commission and the President of the Competition and Consumer Protection Office (UOKiK). She has successfully advised our Clients on competition and business law issues, including in the phase of development and approval of the so-called remedies.

On a number of occasions, she has provided our Clients with legal support on the competition-law aspects of information sharing, including during the establishment of a joint-venture by competitors, M&A transactions and due diligence audits.

She has provided comprehensive advisory on the drafting and negotiations of the framework cooperation rules for competitors at the first processing refinery in Central and Eastern Europe. On top of this, she has supported Clients in negotiations with partners from Poland and abroad, within the existing or newly established collaboration.

In the field of public procurement law, she has assisted Clients in the preparation and roll-out of public tender procedures as well as their compliance audits. What is more, Ms. Cisowska represents Clients before courts and the National Appeals Chamber in cases concerning the application of national and EU law.

At SMM Legal, she mostly works with Clients operating in the energy sector.
