Over the last month, two SMM Legal lawyers, Kalikst Nagel, PhD, and Tomasz Lewandowski, PhD were admitted to the bar. As a result, our team has a new licensed legal advisor and a freshly minted licensed advocate. Both lawyers have been working with our Firm for years.
Kalikst Nagel, PhD, was admitted to the bar as a licensed legal advisor in mid-May. At SMM Legal, he has been handling public procurement matters, including contracts awarded in regulated sectors. In 2018 he was conferred his PhD degree for his doctoral dissertation on the theory of human rights, defended at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
Tomasz Lewandowski, PhD, was sworn as an advocate on 14 June. He specialises in personal data protection, and hence his role of a Data Protection Officer at our Firm. He was conferred his PhD degree in 2017, when he also earned a special award in the prestigious competition “Rising Stars” Lawyers – the Leaders of Tomorrow 2017, organised by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Wolters Kluwer Polska.
