On 15 September 2020, Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie sp. z o.o. (MTP Poznań Expo) closed a tender to select a buyer for a 5.5 ha plot in a prestigious location in the centre of Poznań. The plot, worth PLN 114.5 million, was sold on 29 September. A SMM Legal expert team, managed by Aleksander Czech, our Managing Partner, provided comprehensive legal services throughout the process.
The transaction was preceded by complex and lengthy preparations. For nearly a year and a half, our lawyers closely cooperated with a project team appointed by the client.
‘The property, attractively located in the heart of Poznań, in a quarter stretching between Matejki, Grunwaldzka and Ułańska streets, has been used so far for warehousing purposes and as a parking lot’, explains Marlena Kruszyńska-Kośmicka, PhD, responsible for the administrative law aspects of the transaction. ‘We believe that the place has a chance of becoming one of the city’s landmarks’.
The buyer selected in the tender process paid PLN 114.5 million for the plot. According to local zoning plan, the plot may be developed with a residential complex with commercial and service facilities.
