With the onset of the New Year, two of our experienced lawyers have been promoted. Mr. Tomasz Jaranowski has become a Partner at our firm, while Ms. Patrycja Starczewska now holds the title of Counsel. What is more, starting January 1st, our energy law team welcomed yet another expert, Mr. Marek Grzywacz, PhD.
‘The promotions are a consequence of the exceptional commitment and contribution of both lawyers to some of the largest projects handled by SMM Legal’, says Mr. Przemysław Maciak, Managing Partner. ‘The fact that both of them have worked with the Firm for a long time is yet another factor that cannot go unnoticed’, adds Mr Maciak.
Mr. Jaranowski is an exceptionally experienced lawyer specialising in company and capital market law. He plays a major role in the provision of corporate services to our Firm’s key clients, including PKN ORLEN S.A. Our new Partner has been working with us for as long as 8 years.
Patrycja Starczewska has also worked with SMM Legal since 2012. She has extensive experience, focusing mostly on energy-related projects. By this promotion we wish to recognize her outstanding involvement and the manner in which she has run the litigation department at our Firm.

Starting in January, we have also strengthened our energy law team by hiring Mr. Marek Grzywacz, PhD. Our new Senior Associate is an expert on state energy security and a specialist in administrative and administrative court procedure. He has a strong background in advising energy companies from the natural gas, power and RES sectors.
