We are pleased to announce that in July 2016 a new partner, Ms. Joanna Matczuk, will join our team. Together with Rafał Sikorski, PhD, Ms. Matczuk will manage our Intellectual Property Rights Practice.
Ms. Matczuk is an expert on intellectual property law with a strong background in copyright, unfair competition, new technologies, and the protection of brands, reputation and personal data. She graduated from the Queen Mary University of London, earning her LL.M. in Intellectual Property, and completed a German-Polish School of German Law, a joint programme by the University of Wrocław and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. She has built her professional experience in the field of intellectual property law working in leading Polish law firms and as an in-house lawyer for a publisher of prestigious business titles. Apart from her attorney’s practice, Ms. Matczuk sits on the editorial board of European Copyright and Design Reports, is a member of Intellectual Property Section at the Allerhand Institute, and a member of the Copyright Section and Industrial Property Law at the Warsaw Bar. She is also a patent attorney trainee at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.
