Prof. Maciej Mataczyński, Managing Partner at SMM Legal, has been appointed by the Minister of Treasury to act as an arbitrator of the Arbitration Tribunal at the Central Securities Depository of Poland (Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych S.A.).
This institution has been entrusted with the task of settling civil disputes over proprietary rights between the Depository and its members as well as Depository-related disputes between members themselves. The Arbitration Tribunal consists of 10 arbitrators appointed by the General Meeting for a three years’ term. Cases are settled by panels of three arbitrators, with each party being entitled to appoint one member of the panel.
