In recognition of the ability to think outside the box and deliver results with speed and pragmatism, the Board of the ranking spotlighted our M&A team for handling the biggest mergers in the Polish energy sector, including the merger between PKN ORLEN S.A. and LOTOS S.A. As a result, as many as eight SMM Legal experts were recognized across two categories – Capital Markets and Corporate and M&A transactions. The distinction was awarded to: Prof. Maciej Mataczyński, Tomasz Jaranowski, Magdalena Cisowska, Aleksander Czech, Mateusz Stańczyk, Marcin Czarnecki, Miłosz Malaga, PhD, Adrian Rycerski, PhD and Kinga Dziennik, PhD.
In the Construction (investment-related) category, the Board appreciated the multidisciplinary nature of our team, capable of comprehensively addressing all the needs of our clients inherent to the sales and acquisition transactions as well as investments. The Board highlighted both leaders of the practice at our Firm, Aleksander Czech and Aldona Górska, attorney and tax advisor, as well as Monika Adamczak.
Furthermore, our clients have also appreciated our advisory throughout all stages of energy investments and our support in the green transition process. The ranking board recognized SMM Legal’s Energy Practice (Energy an natural resources), highlighting its leader, Paweł Łącki, PhD.
For many years now, our Firm has also been consistently recommended in the area of Intellectual Property. This year’s ranking emphasized our creative and bold approach to precedent-setting and innovative cases. Individually highlighted lawyers in this field include Prof. Rafał Sikorski, Magdalena Michalska-Niewiadomska ad Piotr Ruchała.
And finally, The LEGAL 500 distinguished our Litigation practice. Our clients recommending us in the Dispute Resolution category not only praised the expertise of our team, but also fast response time, flexibility and our innovative solutions.
