On Monday, during the Forum Idee dla Polski conference organised by the Sobieski Institute, the report “The Polish-Czech Tandem”, exploring the prospects for further economic cooperation between Poland and the Czech Republic, was officially launched. Mateusz Stańczyk, Attorney-at-Law, Partner and General Partner at SMM Legal, is a co-author and editor of the publication.
The report addresses key questions concerning economic relations between the two countries, including the factors behind the growing importance of the Czech Republic as one of Poland’s trading partners and the potential for further regional cooperation. The authors also identify measures that could support the achievement of shared economic, infrastructure and strategic objectives.
The publication was prepared by an international team of experts, academics and business practitioners from Poland and the Czech Republic, under the editorship of Mateusz Stańczyk. The report contributes to the broader debate on strengthening cooperation between Central European countries and reinforcing the region’s position in a rapidly changing economic and geopolitical environment.
For SMM Legal, participation in this initiative is particularly important. For many years, we have been actively involved in initiatives supporting international cooperation and the development of business relations across Central Europe. We believe that deepening the Polish-Czech partnership can play an important role in enhancing the competitiveness of our region, strengthening economic security and creating new opportunities for businesses on both sides of the border.
