SMM Legal among the signatories of the Letter of Intent establishing the Polish-Czech Business Council

On 20 October 2026, at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Warsaw, 17 companies and corporate groups from Poland and the Czech Republic signed a Letter of Intent initiating the establishment of the Polish-Czech Business Council. SMM Legal was among the signatories. The Council is expected to commence its activities in 2027.

The new initiative aims to create a lasting platform for cooperation between businesses from both countries and to support the development of joint business, investment and technology projects. It will also seek to identify barriers to cross-border cooperation and develop joint recommendations concerning the regulatory environment and the competitiveness of the Polish and Czech economies.

For SMM Legal, taking part in the establishment of the Polish-Czech Business Council is a natural extension of the firm’s commitment to strengthening economic relations between the two countries. We believe that closer Polish-Czech cooperation will play an increasingly important role in the growth of businesses across Central Europe, and that dialogue between the business communities of both countries can provide an impetus for new investment and technology projects.

The Letter of Intent was signed on behalf of SMM Legal by Przemysław Maciak, Managing Partner of the firm. In the coming months, the participants in the initiative will work on defining the Council’s operating model, its priorities and its action plan for the first years of activity.
