On 04.11.2014 Prof. Tomasz Sójka, Managing Partner at the firm, was one of the guests on the daily EKG radio show on TOK FM. In the first part of the programme, he raised his doubts related to the proposal of the Minister of Economy to offer a compensation plan to borrowers repaying their CHF-denominated mortgage loans.
He emphasized that the discussion may have negative social repercussions and create a false sense of security weakening the level of prudence citizens exercise in their economic dealings. In consequence, we could face the risk of an exacerbated crisis in the future. As an alternative, Prof. Sójka suggested focusing on educational measures. The topics discussed also included the new strategy of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Polish structure of financial assets, where consumer loans still prevail over financing dedicated to business. In the last part of the show, Prof. Sójka drew attention to the problems related to increasing the flexibility of the labour market and negative effects of long-term employment on the so-called “junk contracts”.
