The SMM Legal team earned two individual distinctions in this year’s law firm ranking compiled by the daily newspaper “Rzeczpospolita”. The shortlisted experts in selected specialisations included Prof. Maciej Mataczyński, who was recommended in the “Commercial, Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions law” category, and Monika Adamczak, attorney-at-law highlighted in “Public Procurement”.
Our experts competed among the largest law firms with more than 50 lawyers. The final result was influenced not only by the recognition within the legal community, but also by the position in international rankings and feedback from in-house lawyers.
‘Corporate law and mergers and acquisitions are core specialisations at our Firm’, says Managing Partner, Prof. Maciej Mataczyński. ‘We consistently receive recommendations in this category in international rankings, reaffirming the value of our commitment to building deep expertise in these specific areas.’
The second recommendation went to attorney Monika Adamczak – head of SMM Legal’s public procurement law department.

The editors of “Rzeczpospolita” reported that 327 law firms from across Poland competed in this year’s edition of the ranking. The results in the main law firm ranking are based on a comparison of the number of licensed lawyers and the total number of lawyers working in the participating firms. In this overall category, we ranked 30th.
