Promotions at SMM Legal are driven by the outstanding involvement of our team members in the most demanding projects carried out by our Firm and are a proof of our appreciation for their long-lasting work for our organisation.
In our jubilee year, we promoted two attorneys, Aldona Górska and Magdalena Cisowska, to the rank of partners, while Miłosz Malaga, PhD, was promoted to the Of Counsel rank.
Aldona Górska has been working with our Firm since its establishment – she is one of the seasoned experts consistently developing their career within our Firm’s structure. She specialises in atypical projects relying on EU law and issue-specific national legislation.
‘Being promoted to the rank of a partner is a huge distinction,’ says Ms. Górska. ‘I’ve been working with the Firm for twenty years, so being promoted in SMM Legal’s jubilee year – apart being professionally motivating – has an emotional layer to it as well. I started my adventure at the Firm while still at university – I was hired as an intern and then went through all of the steps of my professional career,’ adds our Partner.
Magdalena Cisowska is a distinguished expert on competition law, mergers and acquisitions, as well as public procurement. She has worked with us since 2016.
‘Ms. Cisowska’s promotion is a proof of our appreciation of her outstanding involvement in the coordination of interdisciplinary legal teams across all stages of precedent-setting concentration control proceedings before the European Commission and the UOKiK President,’ says our Managing Partner, Maciej Mataczyński. ‘It also testifies to her organisational and negotiation skills,’ emphasizes our Managing Partner.
Miłosz Malaga, PhD, specialises in European competition and business law. He has been working with our Firm since 2017. Mr. Malaga has successfully combined his work in the legal profession with his academic involvement and teaching at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He has been advising our Clients in procedures before the European Commission, the EU Court and the UOKiK.
