TOMASZ LEWANDOWSKI, PHD, AMONG THE REVIEWERS OF AN UN PROJECT ON THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS
Mr. Tomasz Lewandowski, PhD, was selected to join a group of reviewers of an UN project entitled ‘Global Survey of the situation of human rights defenders’.
The Gobal Survey project will be presented to the General Assembly of the United Nations by the UN Special rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders as a part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Right and Responsibility of Individuals, Groups and Organs of Society to Promote and Protect Universally Recognized Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of 1998. The project is intended to examine the situation of human rights defenders in more than 150 states, including Poland.
The project is coordinated by the Human Rights Defender Hub at the Centre for Applied Human Rights at the University of York.
